THE CHALLENGE
The Lawrence Park School, renowned for its outstanding toddler programs and enriched preschool and kindergarten offerings, faced a unique challenge: the need for rugs that could endure heavy foot traffic and withstand environmental elements, including mud, rain, snow, slush, and salt, brought in by boots and shoes.
THE SOLUTION
We created two rugs, one for the school entrance, one with the logo and one using the children’s artwork for the classroom. The rugs are hand-spun with Ghanzi wool, making them extra durable for the elements and lots of tiny feet.
“Mud, snow, salt you name it, our rugs still look as vibrant today as they did the first day. They’ve outlasted all the school-type carpets! Parents often comment on how comfortable they are to sit on for sing-along. We always get compliments from parents when we do tours and when I mention those are children’s drawings. They’re key elements to our school!”
- Rochelle Navarro, Director, The Lawrence Park School
THE RESULTS
Years later, the vibrancy of the rugs at The Lawrence Park School remains as captivating as the day they were introduced. Not only have they proven resilient to the rigours of daily use, but they continue to draw compliments for their comfort and unique design. These rugs have seamlessly become integral elements of the school's identity, enhancing the learning environment.
