Hand knotting is a slow process. We have over 150 looms with hundreds of weavers and artisans dedicated to producing our handmade rugs.
Many of our weavers are women. These women, many mothers, run their households and cultural boundaries keep them at home. We respect their culture, their desire to weave and years ago we made it possible for them to work. We bring the loom to their homes. For these women weaving is their livelihood and by bringing looms to them, they have the freedom to work our rugs as it fits into their day.
We visit our weavers in Nepal and India every few months to ensure quality control of every piece. We hand select the principles to do this in our absence while we monitor the process from here.
